Don't really 'get' abstract art?!
Would you like to gain a handle on what its about in a fun and informed way, through practical hands on Panerai Replica Watches art making with relevant art history?
Then 'Who's Afraid of Abstract Art?!' is for you.
We'll be focussing on a different abstract artist or art movement each week, and trying out different ideas, techniques and materials used by artists throughout history to experience first hand what it means to be an artist and in particular an abstract artist. By the end of the course you'll have started to build up a visual vocabulary and an intuitive understanding of what art and abstract art is/can be about.
We'll be looking at artists like Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, and art movements such as the Abstract Expressionists in post war America.
You'll be putting their ideas into practice in a hands on practical way by trying them out through art making. This course will also help you to develope your own art work & ideas in a fun and intuitive way, no matter what your level is. Beginners are welcome, as are more experienced artists.
Sarah Morshead is a practising abstract artist and a PGCE trained teacher in further education for adults.
Please note that the price of 195 euros is the price for the whole block of 8 weekly 2 hour sessions which start on Mon June 2nd at 7-9pm and finish on Mon July 21st at 7-9pm. Places are limited to small numbers, so if you are interested please book as soon as possible to assure a place on the course.
